Counting Ravens
I was reading about the history of this rhyme, and it turns out it’s about Magpies, they’re counting Magpies. Sometimes other birds are used, usually Jackdaws or Crows, and very occasionally Ravens.
I had only ever heard it as Ravens. Is that strange? Did anyone else learn the rhyme as Ravens?
